A Trainer Who Cares

As a personal trainer I take your fitness goals seriously. Life's hardships can beat us down, but taking care of our health and fitness will carry us through. I understand that losing weight and gaining muscle can be challenging. I have been up and down in my life and know how hard it is to reach a fitness goal! My goal as your trainer is to guide you on your fitness journey.  I am here for you!

Knowledgeable Training

I am a CFES Certified Personal Trainer and Weight Room Instructor with years of fitness learning and weight room experience, I will work with you to keep you on track and motivated to reach your goals. Programs for your activities and goals are custom made for you. Do you want to gain muscle mass or loose weight? Maybe hike the West Coast trail next year;  I can help you reach your goals.

I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and often times fails. The goal is to change your view on fitness, change the outlook you have on your body so that it becomes apart of who you are and your lifestyle. I strongly believe that if you practice and make healthy habits, you will be able to obtain a healthy fit lifestyle. 



Personal Training 1 on 1

I am a member of the Nanaimo Athletic Club. There I  provide one on one training and support to its members. Nanaimo Athletic Club is my gym of choice to provide my clients with a great gym session! Contact me for a time to meet and talk about your goals! 

Program Creation

For those who want a custom " Just for me and my goals" programming, with no actual one on one training; I can provide a personal workout program and nutrition outline for your specific needs. Its all about finding what works for you!

Personal Training with Carmen Brown


"I purchased several hours of workouts with Carmen for my husband for Christmas.  He is seven years younger than I.   His response was why don’t you do it as he wasn’t interested.   There was no argument from me as working with a personal trainer was something I had always wanted to try.  I am 66 yrs old and didn’t think I was too much out of shape until Carmen proved otherwise.  Carmen  made it very personal and tailor fit to my needs.  She is someone who practices what she preaches (she is extremely fit).  She is very structured, focused and fun at the same time.  Just doing it is not enough.  But doing it right is.   That’s where you need the skills of a personal trainer.  Working with her was very motivating and she taught me a lot.  She focused on my weaknesses and trained me how to be stronger and feel more fit.   Since I have my own gym at home she came to my place and was never late for an appointment.  After working with her for just two sessions, I had already decided that I wanted sessions with Carmen for every birthday and Christmas rather than material things.  I think it would be impossible not to like her.  She is caring, skilled and has a great sense of humour.   She is worth every penny."
